Hey there – My name is Ben Sheppee – Im a typography artist as well and trying to get people to focus on language diversity… great to see this font available

I have good memories of Ghana – I was there working on Afro Nation a couple of years ago… How are you finding the usage of this font – is it gaining a lot of interest?

We are losing about 9 languages each year… and some alphabets die with them… My partner is Kenyan, and speaks Swahili and Kamba – but my kids haven’t learnt either and I fear for the subtle elements of culture that is lost each time we don’t pass on these languages…

Anyway just wanted to show some appreciation for the font and good luck with all there…

Hey Ben. Thank you for getting in touch and thank you for your message. There is a great interest in the Adinkra Alphabet font. I am glad we were able to get this work done and to pass it on to future generations.
The obvious reason you gave above is one of the motivation for Adinkra Alphabet and I am glad we have been able to accomplish this in our lifetime powered mostly by the internet and social media. Please teach your kids to read and write with them to pass on the touch!

The book also introduces the Adinkra number system and the Adinkra Tree of Life (ATOL).
